Is the wedding budget spreadsheet really free?
Yes. The Free Wedding Budget Spreadsheet is completely free. You provide your email so we can send it to you, and no payment is required. The paid planner and bundle are separate, optional products.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. The spreadsheet is designed to work in Google Sheets, which is free with a Google account. We include instructions for making your own copy and editing it.
Does it work in Microsoft Excel?
Yes. The spreadsheet is also compatible with Microsoft Excel. Some advanced features may behave slightly differently between Google Sheets and Excel depending on the version you use.
Can we change the budget categories?
Yes. Every category can be renamed, reordered, disabled, or restored. You can also add new categories. You cannot remove every category — at least one must remain active so the budget remains usable.
Can we use another currency?
Yes. The calculator and spreadsheet support USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, and AUD. You can select your currency and all amounts will be formatted accordingly.
Do we need spreadsheet experience?
No. The spreadsheet is designed to be approachable. You enter your budget and guest count, adjust the suggested category amounts, and the calculations update automatically.
Can my partner and I use it together?
Yes. If you both have access to the same Google Sheet (by sharing the link), you can edit it together in real time. The calculator on this site can also be saved to an account and revisited.
What is included in the paid planner?
The Ultimate Wedding Planning Spreadsheet includes a complete budget dashboard, planned versus actual tracking, deposit and payment tracking, guest list and RSVP tools, vendor and venue comparison, a wedding checklist, monthly timeline, seating planner, wedding-day schedule, gift tracker, and a hidden-cost checklist.
Is this a subscription?
No. Both the Ultimate Planner ($19) and the Budget-Saver Bundle ($29) are one-time purchases. There are no recurring charges.
How are digital products delivered?
After a successful purchase, you will be redirected to a confirmation page and your account library will show secure download links. You can download your files from your account at any time.
What happens if I cannot access my files?
If you have trouble accessing your files after purchase, contact us at support@weddingbudgetspreadsheet.org and we will help you restore access. Your purchase is linked to your email and account.
Can I redistribute or resell the spreadsheet?
No. The spreadsheet is licensed for your personal use. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the files publicly. See our Terms for details.
Do you provide financial advice?
No. The calculator and spreadsheets are planning tools. The category percentages are starting points, not professional financial advice or universal prices. For financial guidance, consult a qualified professional.
What is the refund policy?
Because our products are digital, refunds are generally limited after files have been accessed. However, if a product is defective, materially different from its description, or you cannot access it after reasonable support, contact us for a refund where required by law or our policy. Is my payment information stored on this website?
No. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe handles all payment information securely on their infrastructure.
